Beauty in the Beginning
I grew up around beauty. It was part of my family, my environment, and how I learned to understand creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Growing up between DaayTwaah and ATL, I was surrounded by beauty professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, holistic masters, and people who knew how to make something meaningful with what they had.
My relationship with beauty also carries a deeper personal history. IQBEAUTII continues to develop in honor of my loving Grammy, Thurisia Ann Sartors-Jones, whose influence is at the heart of why I care so deeply about beauty, preservation, and the people behind the industry. My family taught me that beauty could be a craft, a business, a form of care, and a way to create opportunity. In high school and college, I naturally found myself stepping into that world too — doing my own hair, helping friends with theirs, and learning through the experience of creating beauty with my own hands.
As that curiosity grew, so did my interest in wellness, clean living, technology, and the systems surrounding beauty. I began exploring holistic wellness and herbal practices while discovering how technology could make complicated information easier to understand and more accessible. Today, I’m continuing that education from both sides — preparing to begin my journey into cosmetology while pursuing certification in holistic herbal product making.
That same curiosity eventually led me into technology and product development, including my journey through the Apple Developer Academy, and ultimately toward building IQBEAUTII. What began as a focus on beauty intelligence has grown into something much larger: a network connecting technology, education, professional development, community, and new opportunities across the beauty industry.
